I'm the Youth and Education Pastor at Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church in Flintstone, GA. I'm also a dad of an 12 year old middle school student and married to the greatest girl on the planet for 14 years now.
I wrote a great comment relating this to parenting, but blogger messed it up and didn't post it, so its long gone in web trash world, wherever that is.
To summarize, Knapp's decision to continue to live in known sin and her intent on insisting God understands is ludicrous. She has created a god our of her sin and when we do that it is called spiritual adultery. Knapp's best and only option is to confess her homosexuality to God, repent of it, and live in it no longer.
You and I have a responsibility to protect our kids, but at the same time we must discuss these issues with them. Talk to them about their entertainment choices and relate them to the Bible. Help them process their belief structure today and tomorrow you will most likely be bale to trust they will make the correct choices. Until then, onward to responsible Christian parenting.
